Announcements for February 5, 2012

February Concert at NSCCC: We have the exciting opportunity of hosting Tim Be Told, a Contemporary Christian music group whose goal is to promote honesty, hope, redemption, and change. They are coming to our church on Saturday, February 18, as part of their national tour of churches and college campuses. This event is for our entire church, and you are highly encouraged to invite your friends. Admission is $10. It's coming up soon, so please see Mary Kay for tickets and more info. Download the bulletin insert for more info as well.

Super Bowl Party! Matt & Jennie Hsieh invite everyone to an evening of fun, fellowship, food, and football at their house tonight for the game. Please contact Matt or Jennie or call them for directions. Wherever you may be during tonight's epic matchup, whether at Matt and Jennie's house or in another man cave of choice, there will only be one winner gathering in the middle of that field in Indianapolis. In the same way, let's run this race in such a way as to get the prize! Faith in Jesus Christ always wins.

Youth Group Resumes: Youth Group is back and bounding with excitement, with opportunities to deepen friendship, serve one another, and exalt the Name of the Lord. We'd love for you to get involved each Friday. See James Shu or Cecelia Jones for details on joining and/or serving.

Service Opportunity: We need more ushers to add to the rotation for our weekly worship service. God desires order and community in his worship services, and ushers play an important role in making that happen. Please see Larry Hui for information or to sign up.

Chinese New Year Celebration: It was like a mini World's Fair, highlighting ancient traditions and modern culture, with a message to focus on life beyond the here now. We are so blessed to have had the creativity, energy, and passion behind this unforgettable event. Thank you to everyone who came together to experience this worldwide love and joy we have in Christ.

Rwanda Trip Informational Meeting: Yesterday's meeting about our upcoming missions trip in April helped connect us to real issues and needs facing Rwandans who are recovering from the 1994 genocide. Having your prayers and keeping you fully updated is vital to Troy Hetz, Pastor Mike, and the Hallomai International missions team as they prepare to go. Thank you for being a part of this mission!

Spring Teachers Needed: The Spring Quarter is around the corner and our Children's Ministry is still in need of several teachers. Please pray for the Lord to meet our need:
Children's Worship (9:15 am)
4- and 5-year-olds
1st - 3rd Grade
Sunday School (11:00 am)
4- and 5-year-olds
3rd - 4th Grade
5th - 6th Grade
Please see Lindsay Herman for more information or to volunteer.

2011 Finances:
2011 Offering..........................$552,541

God richly blessed our church in 2011. Though the total Offerings did not match our Budget, expenses also were held below Budget, and no deficit was incurred. Thank you for your generous giving: you are an answer to prayer and proof that God provides for his church.
