Announcements for Sunday, April 7, 2019

Good Friday Service: We will gather to remember the suffering and death of our Savior at 7:30pm on April 19. This year, our one-hour service will be held in the Sanctuary, while the Chinese Ministry will be using the MPR.

Lunch on Resurrection Sunday: In response to the joy of our Risen Lord, who died for us yet rose to life on the Third Day, we will celebrate with lunch together at 12:30pm on April 21. This will be held in the MPR right after service.

Decorating Request: The church main lobby is in need of two replacement black leather or faux leather arm chairs.  If you would consider contributing towards or donating a set of matching arm chairs for the church, please contact our church Trustee, Nelson Chueng.

New Mother/Daughter Fellowship - We would like to start a new fellowship in support of girls in middle school and upper elementary girls with their moms. We will have an organizational lunch meeting immediately after today's worship service. Please contact Amy Lam at amyandlloyd@yahoo.com if you are interested in this fellowship. She will put you on her “interested” list, since many of the logistics and ideas will be discussed by email.

Baptism and Voting Membership: If you have trusted Jesus and would like to signify it publicly through baptism, please see Pastor Mike. Also, if you are new to our church and are interested in becoming a voting member, please see Pastor Mike or Wei-Lin Koo.

Benevolence Fund: Our financial assistance fund for church members has been used and now needs to be replenished. If you are led to contribute, please write “Benevolence Fund” in the memo of your check. Praise God for the gracious ways He meets our needs!

Sundays at Ten: Here are the upcoming topics for our weekly, large-group discussion time:

  • Today: "Finances: Regretful Spending, Giving, Saving, and Investing”
  • 4/14: "Learning Compassion – Starting with One Another”

Come join us for lively and biblically grounded discussion over some coffee and an occasional surprise treat from the bakery.

Bulletin Updater: It takes many hands to put together each worship service, including someone to update the weekly worship bulletin. Those working behind the scenes on it are indeed the hands and feet of Jesus! We’d now like to share this ministry task with a couple more people. If you’d like to learn how to help keep our bulletin updated each week, please see anyone from the EMC (listed on the back of this bulletin).
