Announcements for Sunday, March 3, 2019

Sundays at Ten: Here are the upcoming topics for our weekly, large-group discussion time:

  • Today: “Faithful Budgeting – Connecting Our Spending Habits to Our Beliefs”
  • 3/10: "Learning Compassion – Why Indifference is the Enemy”

Come join us for lively and biblically grounded discussion over coffee.

Student Membership Class: Students in grades 7-10 are participating in a four-week membership class with Pastor Rich during Sunday School (9:30 to 10:30 am. Participation in the class may lead to baptism or confirmation at our Easter service, but this is not a requirement. Students in grades 11 and 12 will have a separate Sunday School class with Therese Coffeen during these weeks.

Children’s Ministry: Our Children's Sunday school program needs 1 more teacher for the Spring quarter which begins today. Please check the sign up sheet on the bulletin board outside of the Children's Wing and see Angel Lee for more information.

Bulletin Updates: It takes many hands to put together each worship service, including someone to update the weekly worship bulletin. Those working behind the scenes on it are indeed the hands and feet of Jesus! We’d now like to share this ministry task with a couple more people. If you’d like to learn how to serve in this way, please see anyone from the EMC (listed on the back of this bulletin).

Mission's Bulletin Board: There are new letters posted on the bulletin board (to the left of the Multi-Purpose Room) from the Atkinsons, McFalls, and others. These letters from the missionaries that NSCCC supports, many of whom were part of our congregations at one time, have important news and prayer requests. Please take a copy to stay up to date with the work God is doing around the world through our church.

Benevolence Fund: Our financial assistance fund for church members has been used and now needs to be replenished. If you are led to contribute, please write “Benevolence Fund” in the memo of your check. Praise God for the gracious ways He meets our needs!
