Masks are required while in the building except for when eating in the MPR and the tables will be spaced out. Don't forget to bring your dumpling skins if joining at the church as your dumplings will be bare.

Please RSVP if you will be attending the in person portion and if you would like to bring a drink or dessert to share.

For those bringing guests, please make sure to have enough ingredients for your guests as this is a BYO ingredients event.

Ingredients and instructions

Dumpling recipe

2 lbs ground pork
2 TBS cornstarch
1 can chicken broth
1 bunch green onions – finely chopped
1 slice of ginger finely chopped
2 TBS soy sauce
½ tps salt
½ tps black or white pepper
1 TBS sesame oil
2 14 oz packages of dumpling Shanghai style skins (Twin Marquis)

Mix all ingredients together and stir well for 5 min. Let sit for 20 min and stir more.

Can microwave sample of filling and adjust to taste.

Each package/lb of meat makes about 40-45 dumplings, so 80-90 dumplings with full recipe.

Can freeze dumplings on tray and then move to bags once frozen.

To fry:
Pour oil in not-stick frying pan, enough to cover bottom (1-2 TBS?). Put in dumplings before oil is hot and then add enough water to cover bottom or ¼ way up dumpling. Cover pan and use high heat. When water is evaporated, remove cover and fry until bottoms are browned.

May make a sauce to enhance flavor or just use soy sauce.
