For parents of young children, we have a nursing room/supervised nursery located downstairs and Sunday School classes for children age 2 (as of September 1, 2023) through 6th grade, which meet during our worship service. Our offering is intended for those who consider NSCCC their home church. If you are a visitor, please do not feel obligated to participate.

Announcements: Missions Training: Sponsored by the Missions Committee, NSCCC is launching a series of training meetings to encourage and equip our people for Christian service. Offered to both English and Chinese congregations, the training is geared for all adult and young adult members. The content is both basic and practical, with theoretical and hands-on activities. The three upcoming sessions are listed below, all on Saturday mornings from 9am to 12pm: 4/13: How to Use the Bible Devotionally; Principles of Teamwork and Unity 4/27 Conflict Management; Spiritual Warfare For more information, please contact Ken Tsui, Sylvia Chen, or anyone from the Missions Committee. Please also reach out if you are interested in serving during the training meetings in areas of praise and worship, games, refreshments, etc. Upcoming Change in Offering Collection Method for Sunday Services: Starting Sunday, April 21st, we will no longer be passing the offering baskets during the offering time of our English Congregation Sunday services. Instead, those wishing to give financially during our Sunday service may place their offerings into the collection box at the back of the sanctuary. (Online giving may be done at any time at https://www.nsccc.org/giving) The primary reasons for this change are: Ensuring an experience of hospitality, especially for our newcomers Due to the changing nature of our congregations' giving methods. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Pastor Mike or the EMC. Chicago Youth Detention Center: We are bringing another team on Saturday, April 27 @ 12:30pm, to serve incarcerated Youth at the Chicago Youth Detention Center. To reserve a spot on the team, please RSVP by April 13 with Connie Hong or Pastor Mike. Facility Usage During Restore Illinois Policy: At their March 17 meeting, the Deacon Board officially removed all facility usage restrictions enacted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone entering the church building is encouraged to practice healthy hygiene protocols and self-evaluate for contagious illness. When deciding to attend a church event, please consider that other participants may be at high-risk for complications from respiratory illness. (Phil 2:3-4)
