For parents of young children, we have a nursing room/supervised nursery located downstairs and Sunday School classes for children age 2 (as of September 1, 2025) through 6th grade, which meet during our worship service. Announcements: Meal Train: We have an opportunity to serve the Tsengs as Tina continues her medical procedures over the next few weeks. If you would like to support the family by providing a meal, see Mary Kay or sign up for a slot at https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/q91o6r Visiting Missionary: Fu Qiang, one of our church’s supported missionaries, is in town this weekend for his US visit. Join us for a welcome potluck dinner on Labor Day, Monday, 5:00–7:30 p.m. Please spread the word about this event to share in food and fellowship, as well as the opportunity to meet Fu Qiang and to hear his presentation on his ministry in China the past few years. Haiti Salt&Light Ministry: A special fund has been set up to receive donations under “Haiti Battery Fund.” Please prayerfully consider donating to support the work of Jean-Claude and Bunie Cimeus. Online payment, cash, and check donations accepted (tax deductible). Small Groups: Our small group ministry is starting in September. If you are not currently attending a small group, we would like to invite you to talk to our small group leaders to find out more about their groups. Transition Committee: The Deacon Board has established a Transition Committee to provide leadership and guidance for the Chinese congregation during the pastoral transition period. Transition Committee members will include Frank Chen (chair), Toh-Chin Ng, Shawn Yu, Harold Poon, Tao Yan, and Winston Chiu.Responsibilities of the Transition Committee include: 1) leading the pastoral search committee; 2) helping backfill urgent pastoral tasks during transition; and 3) reporting key matters to the Deacon Board. NSCCC Jubilee Celebration: The Deacon Board is excited to testify to God’s faithfulness to NSCCC over the past five decades. We will hold a Jubilee Celebration on April 3, 2027, exactly 50 years after the first worship service in 1977, “to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:19). Please mark your calendar to join us that day, and contact Tina Cheng, chair of the planning sub-committee, or Joe Farley with suggestions or to volunteer to serve on one of the many Working Groups that will be needed to plan this joyous event. 2027 Summer Retreat Save the Date: The Deacon Board has set June 25–27, 2027, as the date for next summer’s church retreat. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us. Children’s Ministry Celebration: Please join us in the MPR after today’s service for lunch and celebration of our teachers and graduates.

Ongoing Ministries: Prayer Ministry: Our weekly congregational prayer meetings are at 9:00 a.m. on Sundays. Contact EMC (EMC@nsccc.org) for details about worship and prayer every other month on Friday nights. Small Groups are an important part of developing community at NSCCC. See Lloyd Lam or email lloyd.lam@yahoo.com m for details about available groups. Youth Group is a great place for Junior and Senior High students to make friends, play games, and learn about God.
